It’s a big travel week. And gas prices are remaining pretty steady, according to AAA.
They report national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $3.41, down one cent from last week.
One year ago, the price was $2.11. The New York State average is at $3.57, that’s up one cent from last week. A year ago, the NYS average was $2.22.
For our area gas is hovering around $3.52 a gallon, That’s not changed since last week.
AAA predicts 53.4 million people to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, up 13% from 2020. This brings travel volumes within 5% of pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
