Gas Prices on the Rise Again

Local News here on WXHC.com is brought to you by:

Even with a slight drop in demand for fuel gas prices are up across the board. Typically lower demand for gas leads to a drop in prices. However, with increasing oil prices and a tightened gas supply prices at the pump have gone higher.

You can expect gas prices to only continue to increase as oil prices remain above $100 per barrel.

Yesterday’s national average for a gallon of gas was $4.19, up seven cents from the week prior. One year ago gas was at $2.90 for the national average.

For New York, yesterday’s average was $4.34 with diesel being the highest it has ever been at $5.92 a gallon.
