Even over the weekend when gas prices usually don’t change wasn’t the case. New York’s average price for a gallon of gas is now $4.93 a gallon with Cortland County being just slightly lower than that at $4.87 average.
A year ago prices for a gallon of gas was $3.07. Even with Oil prices falling, experts believe that with inflation prices will not follow that downturn. Prices could reach $5 a gallon by Memorial Day here in New York.
