Gas prices have continued their decline for another week. The national average dropped by a penny since last monday to an average of $3.24. For New York State, the decrease was slightly better, dropping 4 cents to $3.54 a gallon.
Prices are expected to continue their decline with lower demand and an increase in domestic gasoline stock. Oil prices have been slipping as well recently, helping with lower fuel prices.
Cortland County, the county average stands at $3.44 a gallon, one of the lowest county averages in the Central New York Region. Neighboring Tompkins County currently has a $3.58 per gallon average.
