The Cortland County Legislature has set aside $2M of American Rescue Plan funds to invest in community and economic development.
Up to a million is now available for community-based organizations across the county, including nonprofits, to apply for one-time grants that would support projects falling under these goals.
Potential funding must be used for the purpose of community and/or economic development.
All proposals are due by 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 30.
Each submission will be reviewed by the Cortland County Federal Aid Allocation Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Applicants will be contacted to set up a time/date to present to the committee.
County officials say additional funding opportunities will be available for local businesses in the near future.
