A man living in Cortland was arrested this week as a Fugitive from Justice.
Police say 44-year-old Peter Roman — listed with an address on Tompkins Street — is wanted by the State of Pennsylvania (Mercer County); where he failed to appear on a felony forgery charge.
The warrant was discovered during a routine investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services.
Roman was arrested on Wednesday (November 10), then arraigned and remanded to Cortland County Jail without bail.
His next court appearance is today (November 12).
