Frost Possible After Midnight

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a special weather statement as of 8:07 pm Tuesday for Cortland and many surrounding counties. It is in effect until Wednesday at 9 am.

Patchy frost is possible after midnight across the Finger Lakes to Delaware and Otsego counties. Temperatures will fall to the mid to upper 30s after midnight from the Finger Lakes region across the highlands of central New York to Delaware and Otsego counties.

  • Normally colder valleys and rural areas could see patchy frost.
  • Expect temperatures to warm rapidly after sunrise Wednesday.
  • Sensitive outdoor plants may be harmed if you are in a normally colder area.
  • You may want to take protective action.
