Frost Advisory issued for much of Central NY

National Weather Service issued a Frost Advisory for most of the region tonight, with a cold front moving in overnight temperatures expected to drop as low as 32 degrees.

Active from Midnight to 8:00 tomorrow morning, the advisory includes:

Cortland, Tompkins, Onondaga, Broome, Tioga, Madison, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Southern Oneida, Chenango, Otsego, Delaware and Sullivan counties.

The coldest temperatures are forecast across the sheltered rural valley locations.

Residents should take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Similar temperatures are expected across the weekend.
