On tonight’s High School Football matchup presented by Cayuga Medical Center:
Winless after three games, the Cortland Purple Tigers host a Syracuse-INT squad that is also off to an 0-3 start to the season. Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm at Moseichik Field.
The game will stream live on X101, with play-by-play from Kasey Vaughn and Vinnie Bellardini.
Head coach Pete Reif said his team played some of its best football yet during the first half last week.
What began as an early lead ultimately fell apart and resulted in a 36-12 loss to Westhill.
“Our offensive was there,” said Reif. “We ran the ball for over 250 yards. Then, we lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown right before the half. It was deflating and our guys just had a tough time getting over it.”
Reif spoke with WXHC over the phone for a pregame interview ahead of tonight’s contest.
