The frequent rainfall over the month of September has helped New York, which was listed as “Abnormally Dry” due to the lack of rainfall in July and August.
The National Weather Service of Binghamton shows that Cortland County for the month of September received between 6 and 8 inches of rain. Enough to remove the early stages of a drought in the County.
Upstate New York is expected to see some of the remnants of Ian sometime next week with light rain at most.
