Freeville Man Arrested For Driving Drunk – Almost Three Times Legal Limit
Around 10:20 in the evening back on February 18th, State Police responded to a report from the Tompkins County 9-1-1 Center of a vehicle that went off the roadway and in a tree line on Dryden Road in Freeville.
Upon arrival, State Police found 46 year old Nathan C. Deeley of Freeville, still behind the wheel of the vehicle with the vehicle still running and in drive. State Police say Deeley was not injured.
As the Trooper spoke with Deeley on what had happened that led him off the roadway, the Trooper smelled an odor of alcohol on Deeley’s breath. Deeley was then asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which State Police say confirmed his impairment.
Deeley was arrested on scene and transported to SP Ithaca where his Blood Alcohol Content was .22%, almost three times the legal limit. He faces the charge of Aggravated DWI, a Misdemeanor. Deeley was processed and issued an appearance ticket to Dryden Town Court before being turned over to a sober third party.
