Freeville Man Arrested After Domestic Disturbance

Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance complaint on Tuesday June 11th. The Sheriff’s Office says the complaint was regarding an incident that took place the day prior at a residence on Route 11 in Cortlandville.

An investigation by officers had determined 22 year old Christian L. Barrows of Freeville had not only gotten into a physical altercation with the victim, but also damaged property that belonged to the victim. Barrows then left the scene afterwards.

The Sheriff’s Office then issued an arrest warrant for Barrow’s arrest. He was found and arrested the next day on June 12th on charges of Criminal Mischief in the 3rd, a Felony, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd, Criminal Obstruction of Breath or Blood, and Harassment in the 2nd, all Misdemeanors.

He was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process and was then released on his own recognizance. Barrows is due back in Cortlandville Town Court next week.
