Free Food Giveaway Happening Wednesday at Seven Valleys Food Rescue

The Seven Valleys Health Coalition (SVHC) says this upcoming Wednesday, October 15th, from 10am to 2pm, or until supplies runout, will be a free food giveaway. The event will take place at the Seven Valleys Food Rescue located at 174 Homer Ave.

Those interested are asked to bring their own box or bag. You will park, walk-in, and pick up the food, SVHC says.

In addition to the free food giveaway, Guthrie’s Maternity Oasis Mobile (MOM) unit will also be parked outside the food rescue hub and open for free, walk-in OB/GYN care. According to the SVHC, the MOM unit supports healthy pregnancies, reduce maternal health disparities and enhance the overall wellbeing for their patients with access to unique services not typically found in a standard doctors office. Those can include nutrition, lactation, and mental health counseling.

Services through Guthrie’s MOM unit are free, with or without insurance. Appointments may be made ahead of time by calling (866) 488-4743; walk-ins are welcome.
