Two people were arrested yesterday (February 19) morning after Sheriffs found over four pounds of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Cortlandville.

The defendants are 35-year Arlene Rodriguez, of Montebello, California, and 35-year-old Kyle Leeper, listed as homeless.

Officers from the Sheriffs Office say they pulled the two over just past 8:00 a.m. in the Big Lots parking lot on Route 281 for driving an unregistered vehicle.

In addition to the meth and gun, Officers also found 15 grams of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of money.

Both are being held without bail and are due back in Cortlandville Court today (February 20).
