On Friday morning, the Foundation of Courage (FOC) was at the Renzi Cancer Center at the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center to present a check of $4,000 to the Cortland Memorial Foundation.
The donation comes from the Foundation of Courage’s annual golf tournament which was held in June of this year. The money raised will go towards the Nick Renzi Cancer Care Fund.
The golf tournament is held annually in memory of Cathi Bernardo who passed away back in 2019 after a battle with breast cancer. Cathi worked at Walden Oaks Country Club (where the tournament was held) as the bar and restaurant manager for many years.
Cathi was also a founding member of the Foundation of Courage.
