When the Cortland Memorial Foundation announced its 125th Anniversary Gift Campaign earlier this summer, its goal was to raise enough money to buy one mobile digital imaging unit for the hospital, but all along, the Chair of the Foundation was hoping to raise enough funds to purchase two.
According to Chair Mary Ellen Bloodgood, the Foundation has collected $235,000 of the $280,000 needed to do that. Bloodgood is optimistic about reaching the goal.
Mobile digital imaging units bring radiology and diagnostic capabilities right to the patients’ bedside.
In a statement provided to WXHC, Cortland Regional President and CEO, Mark Webster, said, “I’m pleased that our community, once again, has risen to the occasion to invest in our medical center. These digital imaging units clearly allow us to “up our game” by arming our team of medical experts with the best tools and technology to make precise diagnoses and administer swift treatment.”
Cortland Memorial Foundation was established in 1978 to support Cortland Regional’s effort to continue to expand services, develop new programs and bring state-of-the-art technologies and treatments to the people of Cortland and the surrounding communities. With the help of our generous donors, the Foundation works to ensure that quality healthcare stays close to home.
Even though the Foundation is very close to meeting its goal, it will be extending the 125th Campaign into early next year. So there’s still time to make a tax-deductible gift. Your gift – no matter how large or small – matters and makes a difference.
