Update 8/16/2023: The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office says Joseph Czyz has been located safe and has reunited with his family. The Sheriff’s Office says it appears that Joseph did avoid discovery after leaving his home on Monday.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in a missing 13-year old boy from the Town of Owasco.
Joseph Wade Czyz left his home in the area of Adams Avenue in Owasco before 10:30pm last night and has not been seen since, according to a release by the Sheriff’s Office. He is described as 5’06” tall, 120 pounds, with hazel eyes and red hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or submit information to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office HERE.
