Forum set for Oct. 14 on Homer Dollar General (audio)
Local News, On Demand, What We're Talking About September 24, 2020On this morning’s edition of Happening in Homer:
Village clerk Dan Egnor discussed the proposal to build a new Dollar General store on Route 281/North West Street.
The idea was presented last week at a meeting of the village planning board by applicant Griffiths Engineering. It would first require demolition of the current Super Scoops ice cream shop at 5 North West Street.
Griffiths hopes to build a more than 9,000 square foot storefront in its place. (click here for more info)
According to Egnor, members of the public can participate in a hearing on the topic at the head of next month’s planning board meeting by emailing Clerk@HomerNY.org to reserve a 2-minute speaking slot.
Requests for comment must be submitted prior to the meeting on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 pm.
