Cortland junior wide receiver Cole Burgess (Greenwich) has been named the Empire 8 Football Co-Offensive Player of the week and senior defensive back Joshua Cordero (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) has been chosen as the league’s Defensive Player of the Week for their school record-tying performances in Cortland’s 63-7 win over The College of New Jersey at home on Sept. 10.
