The Food Bank of Central New York has introduced Food Sense, which is a monthly food co-op for all residents where if they sign up, they will receive a monthly box containing 12-15 staple grocery items at a discounted price, the organization says.
To sign-up for the program, residents may visit the Food Bank website, found HERE. There they may learn more about the program, with each package costing $20.50 each. There is no limit to how many packages someone wishes to purchase.
According to the Food Bank, items will vary month to month, but will always include 4 to 5 meat items, 4 to 5 staple pantry items (pasta, soup, and rice), and 2 fresh items (fruits/vegetables).
There will be two ways to pay for the monthly box. Residents may pay with credit or debit cards or if they prefer paying with cash or EBT, may call 800-444-1562 or 315-437-1899.
