First Meeting of 2020 Cortland County Legislature Set for Thursday

The 2020 Cortland County Legislature will officially congregate for the first time on Thursday (January 2), where an informational meeting is expected to produce the name of its newest chair, along with those of its minority and majority leaders.

Several new appointees will also be designated to their positions, including the newly elected county administrator, Robert Corpora.

Thomas Tedesco will be named the new Director of Veterans’ Service, after being recommended by unanimous vote last Thursday (December 19) during a meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee.

Additionally, there are several names being reappointed, including Clerk of the Legislature Eric Mulvihill, County Attorney Karen Howe, County Auditor Stephen Trobert and Public Defender Keith Dayton.

Thursday’s meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m.
