Cortland Common Council meets tonight (Tuesday).
The agenda items include lifting the city hiring freeze to fill a firefighter vacancy.
Aldermen will be asked to bond for the $4.1-million reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant.
Council will be asked to set dates for public hearings – first to change the city code for the Energize New York Benefit Financing Program. The other hearing date is for a proposed local law creating a Community Choice Aggregation Program.
The meeting begins at 7 pm at City Hall.
