In this week’s edition of Happenin’ in Homer X101’s Matt Brooks spoke with Joe Riley, First Assistant Chief at the Homer Fire Department. Fire Prevention Week is currently underway through October 15th, and Joe went over not only its origin but also what you can do to help prevent fires in your home and practices to help keep everyone safer in the event of a fire.
Following Fire Prevention week on October 20th the Homer Fire Department is hosting an Open House. Beyond meeting our local fire fighters, Joe elaborates on demonstrations that will be taking place.
