Finger Lakes Land Trust Surpasses 30,000 Acres For Conservation

The Finger Lakes Land Trust has passed a major milestone in conservation. The organization has announced after three new land deals, they have now passed over 30,000 acres for conservation in the Finger Lakes Region.

The three new land deals include: 86 acres at Fox Run Farm (Skaneateles Lake), addition of land across from the Ganondagan State Historic Site (Victor, NY), and expansion of Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity Preserve (West Danby, NY).

The FLLT now has over 5 miles of conserved lakeshore, 664 miles of protected boundaries, 45 nature preserves with 53 miles of trails open for public access. The organization has nearly 4,000 members with 200 volunteers.
