Finger Lakes Land Trust Acquires 108 Wooded Acres in Virgil
The Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) has announced another acquisition.
In a release, FLLT says they received 108 acres from the estate of David Connolly. The land is in the Town of Virgil, near Greek Peak Mountain Resort bordered on all sides by the James Kennedy State Forest.
It’ll act as a buffer between the forest and the Fingerslakes trail on its southern border, according to the land trust.
FLLT says it intends to transfer this property to New York State so that it can be added to protected lands in the area.
