Continuing our weekly COVID series with Family Counseling Services of Cortland County:
Alex Mikowski is director of the county’s mobile outreach program – known as “COTI,” or the Center of Treatment Innovation – which serves residents in recovery and has office across the state.
During this week’s discussion, Mikowski spoke about the impact of the current crisis on people who are in recovery, offering several strategies to help them stay in recovery.
“Our remote outreach program connects people with substance abuse services,” said Mikowski. ” if you need help getting approved for detox, or talking through what counseling is like, or ways to get the most out of inpatient CD treatment- we can help.”
Mikowski also pointed out that a variety of telehealth services are still being offered and accepting new clients through FCS Cortland.
