Family Fight on Fourth of July Leads to One Arrest

Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident on the Fourth of July around 8 in the evening at a location on East River Crossing in the Town of Homer.

An investigation into the domestic incident by officers determined 38 year old Molly M. Lyon of the Town of Homer, had gotten into a physical altercation with another family member. Lyon was arrested and charged with Harassment on the 2nd and was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

She was then taken to Cortland County Jail to await arraignment the following day. On July 5th, Lyon was released on her own recognizance and is due in Homer Town Court next week.
