Matt Brooks: Good morning, I’m Matt Brooks on X101 Always Classic, filling in for John Harrison for this edition of Peek at the Peak. Now, needing no substitution, we’ve got John Spalding from Greek Peak. It’s good to be back on the segment, John.
John Spalding: Hey, it’s great to have have this segment going every other week with you guys. It’s been quite the experience to be able to share things in the non-ski season with you guys. And Matt, always a pleasure to talk to you on the air.
Matt Brooks: Well, I am excited because I’ve been hearing the segments as they go on air, and there’s been a lot going on in the off-season. And well, speaking of things going on, the first Sunset Zip & Sip is going on today, right?
John Spalding: That’s true. Tonight, the first of three in a row. So on the 11th, the 18th, and the 25th, Sunset Zip & Sip is back. It’s brought to you by Heirloom. Great package around sunset time where you can take a zipline tour, and then at the end packaged in is a beverage at Trax. So come down on the deck and enjoy the golden hour from the deck, Trax deck. Great views from there. Encourage everybody to make their reservations soon and quickly because they fill up quickly, and there are limited spots. But go to greekpeak.net, check out Sunset Zip & Sip tours, and get your tickets now while they last.
Matt Brooks: Yeah, and the great thing is that if you can’t make it tonight, you still have two more opportunities since this is a three-week-long opportunity. So, plenty of time to make sure you have a Friday evening available for some very fun—the whole zipline and, of course, enjoying a beverage to end the workweek on. Now, not only is the Sunset Zip & Sip going on, but there is also the Summit Shootout celebrating its second year.
John Spalding: Yeah, so I haven’t talked a lot about this on the air because usually the spots fill up so quickly on this, but it is our second annual Summit Shootout. It’s a great archery competition that we have out here, you know, during fall. Comes out on Saturday, September 19th. You can get your tickets at greekpeak.net for that, but there’s two great courses featuring 20 targets each, and lift access is included that day. We’ll take you up over by the Chair 5 area to the courses, and just a great event. We got great feedback last year, and we’re making it even bigger and better this year. So, excited to have that one coming back, and I know a lot of archery friends and their friends are looking forward to it. So that’s Saturday, September 19th, starts at 8:00 a.m. Get your tickets at greekpeak.net.
Matt Brooks: And last but not least, kind of an ode to fall, the Fall Fest is coming up in October. I know that seems to be far away, but seems to be right around the corner, right?
John Spalding: It is. It’s on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, October 10th is Fall Fest. It coincides with our annual swap sale, so it’s just thousands of people are going to be here that week. And I really encourage people to get their tickets early because they will sell quickly, and especially the all-access passes. Just $39 gets you a day at Greek Peak. You can enjoy mountain coaster, sky tour ride, admission to the waterpark. Plus, you get access to the festival area where we’ve got two great bands planned for this year, Matt. We’ve got Dead & Friends playing first, and then we’ve got the Fall Creek Brass Band bringing it home. And just a great event. Of course, we’ll have all the fall crafts. We got a petting zoo planned again this year, and everyone’s favorite pumpkin cannon will be back. That was quite a spectacle last year and the year before, and people look forward to it. So check it out at greekpeak.net. Fall Fest tickets now on sale. All-access passes, just 39 bucks. You can spend the whole day at Greek Peak for just 39 bucks, and we welcome everybody to come and enjoy the great fall weather and…
Matt Brooks: What a better way to kick off fall!
John Spalding: Yeah! Well, it’s great, it’s a celebration of the end of summer and fall, but also get ready for winter, too. So it’s like combining the best of three seasons in one, and it’s always a great celebration.
Matt Brooks: Well, it’s always great to have you on talking about what’s going on at Greek Peak, John. Again, for all the tickets, whether it’s for the Zip & Sip, or the Summit Shootout, or the Fall Fest coming in October, greekpeak.net seems to be the place to go to for more information to get those tickets.
John Spalding: 100%. Great to talk to you, Matt.
Matt Brooks: Well, I’m looking forward to the next time I get an opportunity to be on Peek at the Peak. We might be wearing our skis at that point, though. But again, thank you, John, for joining me on another edition of Peek at the Peak.
John Spalding: Thanks again, Matt. See ya.
Matt Brooks: This is X101 Always Classic, I’m Matt Brooks.
