Cornell University Police and the Endicott Bomb Squad removed a small, improvised explosive device from a campus building on Tuesday.
A Cornell staff member reportedly brought the device to Bartels Hall after discovering it at a remote location off campus. Authorities said there was no immediate danger during the incident.
Cornell Police, the Endicott Bomb Squad and the FBI are investigating the incident.
Authorities emphasize that any time a suspicious device is discovered, it should not be moved or handled.
