The Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau, otherwise known as “Experience Cortland,” has officially moved its corporate offices into the newly refurbished building downtown at 42 Main Street in downtown Cortland.
They’ll now occupy space on the first floor of the building, the second floor of which was moved into last month by the county’s BDC/IDA organizations.
Experience Cortland also plans to develop a full Visitors Center at the building in the near future, which is already underway and could be completed as early as late this winter or early in the spring.
“We are pleased to officially announce our move to new office space on the first floor at 42 Main Street,” said Meghan Lawton, Executive Director of the CVB. “The opportunity to reach Main Street foot traffic, and to bring back the CVB’s official Cortland County Visitors Center was one we could not turn down and we are thrilled to officially occupy the new space.”
Corporate offices at the new location will be open from 9am-4:30pm and can be accessed via the main entrance off Main Street.
Owned by the Cortland Downtown Partnership, the building’s undergone renovations for the past several years, underwritten by numerous state grants, including the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
A third-floor apartment is soon to be under lease, with the second-floor space to be occupied by the BDC and a current tenant, the American Red Cross.
