The Executive Director of the Cortland County Business Development Corporation and the Industrial Development Agency, Brendan O’Bryan, has recently been named to the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council’s (REDC) Scoring Committee.
The committee represents Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego Counties. The REDC works to empower regional stakeholders in establishing pathways to prosperity in each regional economic plan. The REDC competes each year for state grants and financial resources and since 2011, have secured the Central New York Region over $594 million dollars in state grants and awards.
With being a member of the committee, O’Bryan, will review and score all Consolidated Funding Applications (CFAs) and Downtown Revitalization Initiative/NY Forward applications. His role will allow him to advocate for projects within Cortland County as well as support the other five counties.
