If some people are surprised at how smooth the roll-out of the Guns N’ Roses partial reunion tour has been, ex Guns bassist Tommy Stinson isn’t among them.
Stinson played with the band for almost 20 years but left prior to the return of founding members Slash and Duff McKagan for the current “Not In This Lifetime” tour.
When asked by Rock on Philly about working with the notoriously moody Axl, he said: “That’s one of the biggest misconceptions about him. He is a very hard-working dude that has a very particular way he wants to do things. I’ll be honest with you, if he’s doing anything other than what he wants to be doing and you’re in the room, you don’t want to be in there. But when he’s doing what he wants to do, he’s great and he’s doing a great job.”
