The 43rd Empire State Winter Games Torch Relay has kicked off this past Sunday and tonight the torch will be making a stop at 5:15pm at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland as the relay makes its way to Lake Placid for the Opening Ceremony on February 2nd.
Members from the Cortland Figure Skating Club will be participating in the Winter Games this coming weekend and are proud to announce the relay stop at their home rink at the Sports Complex. The torch run stop will take place this evening at 5:15pm at the sports complex.
The Empire State Winter games at Lake Placid this year is expected to bring in around 2,000 athletes who will compete in more than 30 events in Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Paul Smiths and other surrounding areas.
