Emergency Crews Respond to 3-Vehicle Crash at Busy Route 13 Intersection in Cortlandville
Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office along with Cortlandville Fire and TLC Ambulance responded to a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 13 and the Cortlandville Crossing shopping center just after 5pm on Wednesday, December 4th.
Officers arriving on scene confirmed a three-vehicle crash with the vehicles in the intersection. The Sheriff’s Office says one person was treated on scene by TLC Ambulance. The vehicles were able to be moved from the intersection to the shoulder of the roadway on Route 13.
An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office into the cause of the crash determined two vehicles were stopped at a red light when the third vehicle failed to stop in time and rear-ended one vehicle which then sent that vehicle into the car in front of it.
Assisting on scene with the Sheriff’s Office was the Cortlandville Fire Department, TLC Ambulance, and Clukey’s Towing.
