New York State has halted elective surgeries for nine hospitals in central New York due to the surge in covid-19 cases. Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is one of the nine CNY hospitals on the list to pause.
This will go into effect beginning this Thursday (January 13).
“We will use every available tool to help ensure that hospitals can manage the COVID-19 winter surge,” said Acting State Health Commissioner Dr. Mary T. Bassett.
