Beginning today, early voting for registered Democrats in the NY-22 Congressional District begins. Early voting will continue through Sunday, June 23rd. The early voting polling site for Cortland County is located at 112 River Street in the City of Cortland at the rear of the building with handicap access at the front of the building.

Registered Democrats in the NY-22 District will be voting for either New York Senator John Mannion or Dewitt Town Councilor Sarah Klee Hood. Both are running against one another to gain the Democratic ticket to face incumbent Republican Brandon Williams during this November’s General Election.

Due to recent redistricting, a majority of the Cortland County population now falls into the 22nd Congressional District. Municipalities now in the 22nd District include the City of Cortland, Town/Village of Homer, Scott, Truxton, Cuyler, Cortlandville, and Preble.

The early voting poll site will be open 9am-5pm except for Tuesday the 18th and Thursday the 20th when polls will be open from noon to 8pm. If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on primary day.

Primary Day itself will be on June 25th with polls open from 6am to 9pm. Voters who may have questions can contact the Cortland County Board of Elections at 607-753-5032.
