Unofficial results show Cortland City School District voters in support of a proposed $32M capital improvement plan.
A preliminary tally from yesterday’s referendum came in as follows:
- 318 YES
- 110 NO
Numbers will be made official at the next Board of Education meeting on Tuesday (October 19) at 6:30 p.m.
The initial count was completed late last night by the Board of Elections and Alicia Zupancic, board clerk and secretary to the superintendent.
Results were then distributed to media in an email sent just before 10 pm, which also included the following statement from Zupancic:
“We would like to thank everyone involved in the process to make this a reality. Thank you to all stakeholders who contributed to the project scope; thank you to our Board of Education; thank you to our architectural and fiscal partners. We are grateful for all who exercised their right to vote, and for all who continue to have positive effects on our future generations.”
