Dryden Southworth Library Holding Winter Warmth Drive – Collecting Winter Outdoor Gear For Kids

The Dryden Southworth Library says they are now holding their Winter Warmth Drive through November 1st. The drive is collecting outdoor winter gear for kids and youth in the Dryden Central School District from pre-K to 12th grade as part of the Great Give Back initiative.

The library says they are accepting new or very gently used snow pants, boots, waterproof gloves, coats, and hats. All items may be dropped off at the Southworth Library located at 24 W. Main Street in Dryden. Some of the sizes in need are snowpants (child M-XL), waterproof gloves (both child and adult S-XL), boots (all child sizes and adult sizes 7-13), and adult sized coats (S-XL).

The donated items will allow it to be possible for kids to be able to participate in outdoor activities, the library says. Those activities include recess, which see items often get lost or forgotten on a school day. More information about the drive can be found on the Dryden Southworth Library’s Facebook.
