Dryden Police have just released information about the arrest of Scott Lonien, 37, of Dryden.
On September 23, Dryden Police, Tompkins County Sheriffs deputies and New York State Police were called to a home in the village after someone reported a family argument.
Police say Lonien wouldn’t let them in, but eventually, those inside the home got out.
Lonien is accused of assaulting someone two days earlier and not allowing that person to leave or call for help. That victim got medical attention.
Lonien was charged with Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment, Endangering the Welfare of A Child, Obstruction of Governmental Administration and criminal mischief for disabling the phone, according to Dryden Police.
Lonien was sent to the Tompkins County Jail awaiting bail and his next date in Town Court.
A week ago Wednesday, Russell Hyer, 44, of Cincinnatus was arrested by Dryden Police for Stalking.
Police say Hyer repeatedly followed and showed up at the workplace of a person, after being told to stay away.
