Dryden Police have arrested two people on drug and other charges after a white powder was found in the bathroom of a local business.
Police have charged 24-year-old Mackenzie Trevits of Dryden with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled sentence.
20-year-old Alexander Hale, of Moravia, was charged with misdemeanor counts of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest; Hale was also ticketed for marijuana possession.
Dryden Police responded to an unidentified business after workers found a white, powder-like substance in the bathroom.
Officers say when they arrived Trevits, Hale, and another person were spotted in the business parking lot.
Hale took off on foot and was apprehended with the help of a member of the Dryden Fire Department.
Hale was wanted for violating probation here in Cortland County and was also wanted by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on a burglary charge.
He was arraigned and turned over to Cayuga County authorities.
Police say Trevits was found in possession of the drug suboxone, she was ticketed and released.
