A city man is the subject of three separate disturbance calls Thursday night (February 20), each reporting him being intoxicated while yelling obscenities and threatening several residents on East Court Street.
Each time officers responded, the defendant, 22-year-old Kiersten Libbey of Northcliffe Road, barricaded himself inside one of the apartments.
Neighbors say he eventually got into a physical altercation with several males before reportedly hitting a 54-year-old woman with a snow shovel, who was uninjured.
Lt. Michael Strangeway says the string of events began just before 9:30 pm. and that Libbey eventually turned himself in just before 1:00 Friday morning.
He was processed and held until his arraignment on charges including a Class-A misdemeanor for Resisting Arrest, as well as violations for 2nd Degree Harassment, Disorderly Conduct and Noise Prohibited.
Libbey was later released on his own recognizance to reappear in City Court on March 18.
