In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 8th. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a running vehicle that was stopped in traffic with the driver unconscious in the area of Route 281 and Fisher Ave.
Through an investigation conducted by officer’s, it was determined that 33 year old Sengal K. Alazar of Ithaca, was drunk. Officer’s were able to wake Alazar up and then arrested him and charged him with DWI, and Stopping/Parking on a Highway.
He was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and was released after being arraigned. He is schedule to reappear in Cortlandville Town Court at a later date.
