A drug take back event will take place tomorrow, April 29th, at four locations throughout Cortland County.
The day is to encourage residents to bring any of their unused, or unneeded prescription, and/or non-prescription drugs to discard safely. You may also drop them off without having to leave your vehicle.
Those locations and times include:
- Cortlandville Fire Station 9am to 1pm
- Marathon High School/Village Green 9am to 2pm
- Cincinnatus Fire Department 9am to 12pm
- Homer Town Hall 9am to 12pm.
Typical methods people use to discard unused medications such as throwing in trash, or flushing down the toilet could create potential health, safety and environmental hazards.
The event is sponsored by: Cortland Area Communities That Care, Cortland Prevention Resources & Family & Children’s Counseling Services, Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Homer Police Department, Cortlandville and Cincinnatus Fire Department, and local volunteers.
