The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says officers responded just before 5 in the morning back on November 15th for a single vehicle crash with injuries. Officers responded to an address on Route 215 in Cortlandville.
The Sheriff’s Office says an investigation found the driver of the vehicle, 35 year old Robert L. Wade of Cortland, had left the roadway before colliding with a telephone pole. Wade was treated on scene, the Sheriff’s Office says and was also determined to be driving while intoxicated during the time of the crash.
He was arrested and charged with Aggravated DWI-Blood Alcohol Content .18 or higher, DWI, both Misdemeanors, and several infractions. Wade was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and later released on appearance tickets. He is due in Cortlandville Town Court next week.
