A work zone crash on Interstate 81-South in Cortland County this week resulted in no major injuries.
State police at Homer responded around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon to the scene of the accident in Lapeer, between exits 9 and 10.
Their investigation found a 36-year-old male from Kirkville failed to merge left while entering the construction area, striking an attenuator that did have its lights activated.
The driver of the sedan complained of neck pain but wasn’t transported to a hospital. No workers were injured.
Motorists are reminded to follow all signs in work zones, obey the speed limit and drive with caution.
