Driver Arrested For Driving While Impaired – Found in Possession of Drugs

Just before 11pm last Friday night, an officer with the Cortland Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Main Street in the City of Cortland for a traffic infraction. During the stop, the officer found out the driver, identified as 31 year old Linsey R. Cleland of Cincinnatus, was driving without a license.

Further investigation also determined Cleland was driving while impaired by drugs. Officers also found her to be in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, both Misdemeanors, along with multiple traffic infractions.

She was transported to the County Jail where she was processed and later arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process. Cleland was released on her own recognizance.
