Doug’s Fish Fry in Cortland Honored With NYS Senate Empire Award
A staple in the Cortland area since 1991, Doug’s Fish Fry on Route 281 in Cortlandville was presented the New York State Senate Empire Award by Senator Lea Webb Friday morning. The award recognizes owner Mark Braun, and Doug’s ongoing commitment to excellence in service, community involvement, and hospitality.
“Doug’s Fish Fry represents the best of what small businesses bring to our communities: integrity, service, and generosity,” said Senator Lea Webb. “For 34 years, they’ve not only served delicious food but have also shown what it means to invest in people. Their dedication to quality, community, and public well-being is a model for others across our state.”
Doug’s Fish Fry has built a strong reputation for their daily deliveries of fresh seafood, cleanliness, and friendly dining experience. Doug’s Fish Fry also offers “Doug’s to Go” where Doug’s Fish Fry partners with local groups, businesses, and organizations for fundraising events with a portion of their proceeds going to support the community.
“This recognition belongs to everyone who has supported Doug’s Fish Fry along the way — from our crew behind the counter to the families who line up for a meal that gives back. Together, we’ve proven that great food and community spirit can make a lasting difference.” said Mark Braun, Owner of Doug’s Fish Fry.
