Dolly Parton kicks off her 2016 Pure & Simple tour this Friday (June 3rd) in Greensboro, NC. This is the legend’s first full-scale North American tour in more than 20 years, and one of the things Dolly looks most forward to is spending lots of time on her home away from home — her tour bus.
Dolly tells us: “It is my home. I live on the bus. You know, I never stay in hotels ever. I just live on the bus. I just pull right up to the venue in the afternoon, do a sound check, gets back on the bus have dinner and get ready for the show. I usually don’t eat big until after I’m done. Then as soon as the show’s over I just climb back on the bus, take off my show clothes (and) get in the bed or just kinda lounge around. I don’t have to take suitcases in and out and worry about forgetting something. All my stuff is on the bus so, I love that bus.”
Dolly rounds out the first weekend of the Pure & Simple tour with shows in Duluth, GA and Greenville, SC.
