Do the Time-Warp Again with THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW

Something strange and spectacular is about to happen this fall as SUNY Cortland’s Musical Theatre program and Cortland Repertory Theatre team up to present a live, fully staged and inventively reimagined production of Richard O’Brien’s cult-classic rock musical The Rocky Horror Show.

Since its premiere in 1973, The Rocky Horror Show has captivated audiences with its outrageous humor, irresistible rock score and lavish theatricality; joyously breaking boundaries. Directed by Bryan Knowlton (CRTs Wedding Singer) with music direction by Ben Kapilow, this production honors the original while transporting audiences into a world of Goth, Punk, and Victorian-inspired designs that echo the show’s themes of angst, metamorphosis, and liberation.

Senior Musical Theatre majors lead an ensemble cast of 20 performers with Ryan James Rodriguez commanding the stage as the iconic Dr. Frank N. Furter, joined by Lizzie Fitzpatrick-Carcamo as Janet, Vivien Rose Reed as Magenta, and Olivia Celis as Riff Raff. More than a musical, this production is an event where audiences will find themselves swept into a celebration that is equal parts edgy, playful, and extravagant.

Performances run October 24 through November 1 at Cortland Repertory Theatre Downtown, including a late-night Halloween bash featuring dancing, games, and a costume runway. All tickets are sold through the SUNY Cortland Box Office at Cortland.edu/PerformingArts. There will be a cash bar and prop bags sold by the Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honors Society. Come in costume and become part of the experience!

Tickets are expected to go quickly—don’t miss your chance to do the “Time Warp” again!
