The Cortland Police Department and Mayor Scott Steve signed an agreement to end the changing of police shifts every 28 days. The new agreement is that police officers will work more consistent shifts to limit the affects on their personal life.

Police Chief Paul Sandy said, “It will be a benefit in many ways – healthwise, morale will certainly pick up, their family lives will improve.”

The agreement was unanimously approved by the Cortland Common Council.
